Love & Legacies: Why We Cherish, Why We Celebrate

Whether it’s a wedding day filled with joyful smiles, a few happy tears, and promises of forever, or a memorial service wrapped in memory and meaning, these moments shape our lives. They mark significant turning points. They give us space to pause, to honor, and to remember what really matters.

That’s why I started Love & Legacies.
Not just as a service, but as a calling.

The Story Behind the Name

In my years of ministry, I’ve had the privilege of standing beside couples as they begin their forever—and families as they say their final goodbyes. The settings may differ, but the core is always the same: the celebration of love and legacies.

One day, as I sat contemplating different options, those two words in this context deeply resonated with me:

  • Love — what we give to someone else, what we vow, what we feel when words fall short, and, most importantly, what we choose even in the most challenging moments.
  • Legacy — what we leave behind, what we remember, and, hopefully, what we pass on.

It made sense that the place where I offer wedding and funeral officiating services—and share practical tools for making memories—should bear the name that holds both.

What You Can Expect from This Blog

This blog is a space for stories, insights, and reflections—sometimes joyful, sometimes tender, but always rooted in the sacredness of life’s most meaningful moments.

Over time, I’ll share:

  • Helpful tips for planning meaningful weddings and memorials
  • Stories that will make you smile—or maybe cry
  • Thoughtfully selected resources to help you cherish and celebrate the special people in your life

Some of these resources will include ideas for creating meaningful ceremonies. Others will be affiliate recommendations that help support this site. Either way, they’ll always be chosen with care.
